Cow Study

This was done a while back but one of my favorite studies. These guys sat for hours, I was actually able to do this on location. The best models...this is a 6X12 on stetched canvas.

  1. Think this has to be one of my very favorites. The big shape the cows make, the colors!! So great!

  2. Can't believe your "models" sat still for you, love these guys! Yes, you bet I would love to meet you to plein air...call me or email and we'll meet somewhere whenever we have a break in the weather. I've been having to go alone so would love to have someone to venture out with!

  4. Beautiful painting. I love how you simplified the black cow and emphasized the other.

  6. Okay, nobody's getting together without including me. ;?)
Bev, I love this. Great layout. I like how they are facing opposite of each other. You made cows cool!

  7. I love to paint cows, too. There are just so many of them here! It is hard to believe you were able to capture them so well without having them move. Usually whenever I even try to photograph them they stop what they are doing and come to see me (probably wanting something to eat). I love your colors. Great work!

  9. Beautiful piece Bev, I ditto all of the above comments. I also wanted to say that I loved the Yellowstone painting, I think you handled it beautifully. The colours are so rich and the play of warm and cool and light and shade is great. I think it is a powerful piece.
